M.S.A.D. 44 is accepting bids for the following projects at the transportation garage at 197 Main St. in Bethel. A commercial license and proof of insurance are required. Sealed bids are to be submitted to the Central Office at One Parkway, Suite 204, by 3 pm. May 24, 2024 to the attention of Arlynn Hale. Work is to begin June 17, 2024 and all work must be completed by August 16, 2024. Bid packets can be picked up in the high school office at Telstar, 284 Walkers Mills Rd. For questions, or to set up a time to visit the site prior to bidding, please call 207-890-3524. Bid packets will include detailed specification sheets.
Projects:
Plumbing- remove and replace bathroom fixtures
Electrical-remove and replace existing wiring and light fixtures
Carpentry- remove and replace existing windows, replace interior doors, install insulation and sheetrock and finish walls
Painting of new and existing walls

We would like to say thank you to Bethel Rescue members (Dave Hanscom and Haley Tripp) who came in today to work with some of our seniors to get their CPR certification which is a collaboration project with Scott Underhill's Health classes.

Oxford County is asking towns to collect private citizen primary home damage in our community. They are hoping that FEMA teams will review citizen damage at some point in the near future. If the county is able to present enough information on private citizen damage assessments the process will go as follows: meet with local officials regarding citizen damages in your community and visit homes with major damage in the most logical and expedient order, focusing on destroyed or major damage first. This would be to assess if we qualify for federal assistance for private citizens in Oxford County. This is a similar process to Public Assistance to provide federal assistance to your municipalities, but the damage thresholds are not as clear cut for private citizen assistance. These assessments and collection of this information does not guarantee assistance. We are encouraging all citizens with home owners insurance to make an insurance claim first to show that all other resources have been exhausted.
**We need the following information:**
1. **Citizen Names**
2. **Citizen Primary Home Address where damage to home occurred**
3. **Citizen Contact Phone Number**
4. **Brief statement of damages at their home**
5. **Photographs of the damage incurred at homes are necessary for this assessment (please label with address or citizen name)**

No School for Tuesday, December 19th in MSAD#44 schools due to the continued flooding, power outages, and washing out of roads/driveways. We will look to reopen on Wednesday.
Today, Monday, December 18th, all MSAD#44 schools will be dismissing at noon due to the weather conditions. All after school activities, games, and tonight's School Board meeting is cancelled. Thank you.
